• There are no user accounts, sign-ups or forms that collect personal information.
• Calculator inputs are processed in your browser and are not sent to our server.
• The site uses Google services for advertising and/or analytics, which may set cookies. Where a consent choice applies, they load only after you make it, as described below.

Calculator inputs

All calculations run locally in your web browser. The measurements, prices and other values you type are not transmitted to us or stored on our servers. If you use the Copy or Print buttons, the results go only to your own clipboard or printer.

Information stored on your device

The site uses your browser’s local storage (not cookies) for:

• Unit preference (unit-system) – remembers whether you chose US or metric units.
• Consent choice (consent-choice-v1) – remembers whether you accepted or rejected optional analytics/advertising.

These values stay in your browser, are not sent to us, and can be removed by clearing your browser’s site data.

Server logs

Like most websites, our hosting provider automatically records technical information when pages are requested, such as IP address, browser type, the page requested, the referring page and the date and time. These logs are used for security, troubleshooting and operating the service, and are kept according to the hosting provider’s retention practices.

Analytics (Google Analytics 4)

If you select “Accept” in the cookie banner, the site loads Google Analytics 4, provided by Google. It sets cookies to measure how pages and calculators are used, for example page views, which calculator was used, and the number of search results. We do not send the values you enter into calculators, your search text, or other personal information to Google Analytics. Google processes this data under its own privacy policy. If you select “Reject”, Google Analytics is not loaded.

The site is intended for a general adult audience and does not knowingly collect information from children.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example under the UK GDPR, the EU GDPR, Canadian, Australian or US state privacy laws), you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal information, or to object to certain processing.
