The calculators and guides on TapeMeasureCalc are planning tools. Their results are estimates, not guarantees.

Results are estimates

Each calculator applies standard geometric formulas and exact unit conversions to the values you enter. The accuracy of the result depends entirely on the accuracy of those values and on the assumptions described on each page.

Actual quantities will vary

The amount of material a real project uses depends on many factors the calculators cannot see, including:

  • Site conditions – uneven ground, out-of-square rooms, slopes, soil type and moisture.
  • Product specifications – actual bag yields, paint coverage, stone density, tile and board sizes, and package contents vary by manufacturer and batch.
  • Workmanship – cutting patterns, compaction, mixing and application methods.
  • Waste – breakage, offcuts, spillage and material left in tools and equipment.

Default values such as densities, bag yields, coverage rates and waste percentages are typical figures or common starting points, clearly labelled as estimates. Always check the figures printed on the products you buy and confirm quantities with your supplier.

Structural and safety-critical work

The calculators do not design or check structures. Slab thickness, footing size, reinforcement, fence post depth, drainage and similar decisions affect safety and durability and may be governed by building codes, permits and local regulations. For structural or safety-critical projects, consult a qualified professional, such as a licensed engineer, architect or experienced contractor, and follow local building requirements.

Costs

Cost estimates multiply quantities by the prices you enter. They do not include taxes, delivery, equipment hire, labour or other charges unless you include them in the price.

No liability

To the extent permitted by law, TapeMeasureCalc is not responsible for losses or damage resulting from the use of the calculators or guides. See the Terms of Use for details.
